Kolomenskoye. Summer
That day we decided to go on plein air at Kolomenskoe Park. The summer happened to be record-breaking hot, and awaking in the mornings we saw outside the window the sky filled with the smoke from the forest fires around Moscow. But this night the long-awaited fresh wind had come. The perfect visibility in the morning was inspiring: there was completely no smoke, and the smell of burning was almost imperceptible.
After some wandering in the park, we finally found a wild place, not yet touched by the hands of Moscow “culturizers”. From there was a wide view from the hill, dotted with the various plants. On the horizon were shimmering, high panel buildings, melting in the blue of the sky, and by the river were floating white pleasure ships. It was hot and tiresome to work, but the study went it should and was absorbing.
