How to draw shading on trees – Principles of lighting (part 4)
How to draw shading on trees – Principles of lighting (part 4), summary:
1. If you understand that the crown of a tree has its own integral form and you do not forget to convey it, the crown turns from a porridge of spots into a three-dimensional form.
2. If you draw objects consisting of many details by each detail separately (in artistic language “from particular to general”) – it’s very easy to get confused and to draw a mess.
3. If you understand that many small details form an integral form, which has, as any form has, light and shadow, you can use the principle “from general to particular”: start from the general tone of the area, and then draw in (or paint in) the details.
